Black Shuck Distillery Secures Official Brown Tourist Signs for North Norfolk

Black Shuck Distillery is delighted to announce that it has been awarded official Brown Tourist Signs by the Norfolk County Council Highways Department. This milestone achievement quite literally puts us on the map and is a testament to our commitment to providing a top‑tier visitor experience.

Patrick, our founder, shared his pride in reaching this milestone, stating, “Being awarded Brown Signs is a rigorous process, and we are truly proud to have achieved this recognition. Since receiving the VisitEngland Tourist Attraction award earlier this year, our visitor numbers have increased by 400%, and we look forward to welcoming our 5,000th visitor in the coming weeks.”

As a popular visitor attraction, Black Shuck Distillery now hosts guests from across the UK. Just this week, we welcomed visitors from Wales, Kent, and Edinburgh. Over 50% of our visitors travel from outside Norfolk, with many choosing to stay locally and enjoy meals in the area’s hospitality venues. We’re proud to be contributing to North Norfolk’s tourism economy and to be punching well above our weight.

Black Shuck Distillery is consistently rated five stars on Google Reviews and TripAdvisor. Guests frequently commend the passion of founders Patrick and Sarah, who personally lead the distillery tours. Visitors enjoy tales of the legendary Black Shuck, insights into our family business, and, of course, tastings of our wide range of spirits and liqueurs. We believe that celebrating the legend of Black Shuck — one of England’s oldest legends — is integral to our mission.
